Individual therapy for individual adults in Chesterfield, VA

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Chesterfield, Virginia (outside of Richmond, Virginia) offering in-person individual therapy for adults. Areas I enjoy working with through therapy are adoptive parent(s) related grief or trauma, attachment, infidelity or fertility-related grief, overwhelmed and overstimulated mothers, and trauma.

I pull from IFS, EMDR, DBT and Gottman models in our sessions to best meet your needs.

Whether you’re an adoptive parent that’s experienced a loss or trauma throughout your process, you’ve just found out your partner has been unfaithful, the mother giving her all, all of the time, or struggling to process through trauma, you deserve a space to feel the full range of your emotions without fear of judgment.

My mission is to support you and create a sense of safety within the therapeutic relationship.

During our one-on-one therapy sessions, I prioritize your autonomy. My role is to create a safe environment where your feelings and boundaries are respected. My aim is to provide you with support and empower you with the necessary tools to handle challenging or traumatic experiences. I will always be mindful of your comfort levels and won't pressure you to go beyond them.

I earned my Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology, Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Counseling and completed my post-Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling. I’ve been in the mental health field for over 16 years, and became a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Virginia Board of Counseling in 2020. In 2022 I became a Board approved Clinical Supervisor for LPC and LMFT Residents, and in 2023 became a National Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors. I have completed the IFS Level I intensive (IFS informed) and in 2023 became EMDR trained. I am a member of the American Counseling Association + VA Counselors Association.
